No reply, no blinking even
your body feels so cold
now that you're no longer with me
what is there left to hold?

Having you ripped out of my life
will leave another scar
kissed you good night, told you I love you
but that wasn't enough by far

Regret poured on my heart and soul
will leave eternal stains
the tears dry in the icy wind
and only salt remains

Helpless, hopeless, weeping quietly
so empty feels this place
love and comfort lie behind me
ahead such lonely days

I sketched this a few days back and kept working on it because it became horribly obvious I'd need to finish it soon. Thank you for all these years, thank you for staying with us until yesterday. I still love you, I always will.
